Senior Online Marketing Manager

VerticalResponse is looking for a talented, metric and results-oriented senior online marketing manager to drive results in our online marketing team and drive in qualified sign-ups for the company. Our ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with a solid understanding of SEO, SEM coupled with a successful work history of managing affiliate, email acquisition and remarketing/retargeting programs utilizing a data driven, direct response approach. Qualifications Include:

  • Posses either an MBA in marketing, a BA in Marketing, or the equivalent experience
  • Must have 5+ years combined experience managing the following programs within an internal marketing department or at an online advertising agency: SEM, SEO, affiliate, email acquisition, remarketing/retargeting, and agency management
  • Proven ability to collect, analyze and optimize metrics, strategically understand gaps in data and make right business decisions

  • Own the company customer acquisition numbers and reporting metrics – able to articulate what is happening in each channel, why and what steps are being taken to optimize results
  • Manage, drive and grow online affiliate programs and coach and mentor program managers to maximize channel volume, efficiency and conversion
  • Own SEM and ensure SEO is at optimal performance
  • Develop, test and optimize email campaigns and landing pages

Qualifications Include:

VerticalResponse is looking for an experienced QA Manager to lead our growing QA team. This is a hands-on role that involves both managing the overall QA team and schedule, reporting on bug trends and being responsible for overall software quality in addition to also directly performing QA tasks including manual testing, automated testing and test case development. This job requires strategic thinking and planning to provide leadership and expertise throughout the entire QA lifecycle, ensuring the success of you and your team's manual and automation efforts.

Qualifications Include:

  • 3+ years in leading and managing a quality assurance team
  • 8+ years of quality assurance experience including black box testing, white box testing, and UI automation
  • 3+ years of experience in working with high-volume B2B or B2C multi-tiered UNIX-based web applications testing multiple versions of common browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari) across a variety of platforms
  • Experience in managing complex functional testing projects that require a deep understanding of the application logic and dependencies
  • Fluent in SQL with the ability to perform complex database queries
  • Ability to analyze and understand application log files using common UNIX utilities

Ruby/LAMP UI and Web Services Developer

We are looking to add an experienced web developer with strong UI and backend/API experience to our rapidly growing engineering team. Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 3 years of web development experience including Ruby on Rails, PHP, Prototype.js and Web Services.

This position works closely with the marketing, product management and engineering teams to build dynamic and standards compliant user interfaces that work across all modern browsers. This position also involves consuming and creating both SOAP and RESTful APIs. The person filling this position will also work with customers and other employees to perform usability testing of various designs from concept through beta testing and to the final production release.

This is a great position for someone who is passionate about usability, making complex functionality simple and who loves to see their work being used by a large number of people.

Requirements Include:

  • Proficient in Ruby on Rails and PHP
  • Working knowledge of Prototype.js is a must
  • A thorough understanding of the HTTP Protocol with the ability to design and implement RESTful and SOAP Web Services.
  • Ability to produce standards-compliant XHTML, CSS and JavaScript code
  • Proficient in designing and implementing AJAX technologies
  • Designing interface elements in Adobe Photoshop
