VerticalResponse Releases iBuilder 5.0

San Francisco, CA - July 13, 2004 – VerticalResponse, Inc., a leading provider of self-service and customized direct marketing solutions, today announced the introduction of iBuilder 5.0 with new features that give marketers and agencies more control over their direct marketing campaigns. Among these features is an overall re-design of the iBuilder Control Center, several new email reports, a spam check for outgoing email campaigns, and access to non-responders of particular email campaigns.

"The ultimate goal for VerticalResponse is to give our customers complete control of a campaign so they simplify the process and maximize the results," noted Janine Popick, CEO, VerticalResponse, Inc. "The evolutionary changes and new features of iBuilder are all designed to reinforce that goal, and they are only the beginning. We intend to introduce additional new features on a regular basis throughout the year."

The layout of the iBuilder Control Center has been improved to provide clients with immediate access to more information on a direct email campaign, eliminating the need to drill down several layers to obtain critical information. Users will be able to set preferences for how they'd like to view campaign information, giving users even more control over their marketing views. Users will be able to sort on response data, mail quantity, mail dates, and any high-level campaign data to obtain the information they need quickly.

A series of new reports have also been added to iBuilder that enhance a users ability to assess campaign effectiveness. With the "Summary Report," users will have a snapshot of all campaign activity and quick access to specific campaigns. A user can also update links within a campaign or reply-to address on the fly, even after the campaign has been sent. The "Non Responder Report" allows a user to track recipients who don't open an email or click a link, so they can follow up with different subject lines urging them to open their email. The "Campaign Comparison Report" allows users to select multiple campaigns and compare response statistics in a printable bar graph format. Lastly, the "Domain Report" provides an overview of the number of email addresses that were mailed to specific domains and the response activity for those recipients.

The new "Spam Check" feature helps users craft email campaigns that trigger as few spam filters as possible. This tool enables users to run their email content through a spam filter before they deploy the email, so they can go back and change content that may trigger a filter.
