Account Level Queries

The initial iteration of VerticalResponse for AppExchange supported three standard fields for searching within a database (X, Y and Z). Recognizing that account level details are as unique and varied as the companies who use Salesforce.com, the products they sell, and the salespeople who sell them -- or any combination thereof -- VerticalResponse has upgraded the product to enable users to leverage all account level fields as filters when querying for a list of Contacts.

Users can now query and build their lists at the account level, and with greater flexibility. In addition, they can use fields built as standards in the product, or can create custom fields to further personalize the functionality. New capabilities include:

  • Use Case 1 - Using Account Fields allow a sales manager to create classification at the Account level, such as Hot, Warm and Cold to rate
    purchasing trends. With upgraded product functionality, the sales manager can now easily send email to any of the given ratings.
  • Use Case 2 - Increased Flexibility allows other new ways to screen the list, for example sending an email to a specific subset of a list, while
    excluding three specific accounts from within that set.

The new feature saves time each time a manager must build a new list, by automating certain tasks associated with building queries. Salesforce.com databases constantly change with additions or updates to existing records. With saved query parameters, Salesforce users can create current lists quickly and easily.

Integrated User Interface

A fresh User Interface aligns with Salesforce's look and feel, and is increasingly intuitive, granting easier access to the three actions most commonly used by VerticalResponse for AppExchange customers:

  • New Mailing List
  • New Email Campaign
  • Update Statistics

In addition, Tools, such as the Media Library, and Resources, such as FAQs and Demos, are also displayed more prominently for more direct access. Finally, additional real estate has been allotted in a "What's New" area on the page for marketing messages.
