VerticalResponse Continues Awards Streak, Named Finalist in 2012 Stevies for Sales & Customer Service

Sales and Customer Support Teams Recognized in Three Categories

SAN FRANCISCO – Jan. 26, 2012 – VerticalResponse, a leading provider of self-service marketing solutions for small businesses including email marketing, social media, event marketing, online survey and direct mail marketing, today was named a finalist in three categories in the sixth annual Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service. The company will ultimately receive gold, silver or bronze honors in the program.

VerticalResponse is a finalist in the following three categories:

  • Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year
  • Telesales Team of the Year
  • Customer Service Leader of the Year – Kristen Hayer, Director of Sales and Support

The awards are presented by the Stevie® Awards, which organizes several of the world's leading business awards shows including the prestigious International Business Awards.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word "crowned," the final results will be announced during a gala banquet on Monday, February 27, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. Finalists from the U.S.A. and several other nations are expected to attend.

More than 1,000 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted to this year's competition, an increase of almost 30 percent over 2011. The average scores of 93 professionals worldwide, acting as preliminary judges, determined finalists. Entries were considered in 27 categories for customer service professionals; 38 categories for sales professionals; and categories to recognize new products and services and solution providers.

Additionally, more than 100 members of seven specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the finalists during final judging, to take place January 30 to February 10.
