I got an email from Boudin Bakery today. For those of you who don’t know Boudin, they are a San Francisco staple. If you come to “Frisco” (can we bring that word back btw?) and don’t have Boudin’s clam chowder in a bread bowl, something might be wrong with you. Then if you don’t stop by Ghirardelli (pronounced Gear-ar-delly, fyi) then something might be even more wrong with you. I digress.

What got me about this email was that Boudin was sending it to celebrate “National Clam Chowder Day!” Could this be true? Off to the Internet I went. According to this site and many others, February 25 indeed celebrates National Clam Chowder Day in America.

Great job by Boudin to come up with something clever and to start sending email marketing with a great chowder offer a week before this amazing celebration of clams and delicious bread.

So if you happen to be in the business of selling food, check out these dates and come up with your own offer to celebrate.

Got any great holidays you use to market your business? Let us know!
