This is a great list. submit-link.org is also a great free local business directory to get complete local business listings. You can add your exact location, photo, hours, website, and contact info.

Great compilation! I’ve been working with many of these for a client reputation marketing profile and have some additional info. Local.com is NOT free. In order to enter business info, you have to sigh up for a subscription service from Yext. Yext isn’t a service I’d ever suggest to any of my customers or clients. TERRIBLE is an understatement.

SuperPages.. STEER CLEAR!!!! Steer clear of any former ‘phone’ company. SuperPages is continuing to negatively impact local listing. I’m battling a database driven, keyword URL that was set up when that’s how local listings got ranked. That same account continues to crank out listing using a landing page URL (that can’t be changed) and it’s using a tracking phone number that hasn’t been live for almost 2 years. Additionally, SuperPages contracts with another 3rd party provider doing the same thing x10.

Small Business Owners: The Phone Company is NOT an “SEO, Internet Marketing” or any other term they use to keep themselves relevant. What they do to ‘market’, ESPECIALLY FOR A SMALL BUSINESS, is detrimental to your listing!

Thanks for the tips! I didn’t know about registering for The Business Journals but will now.

  4. Judith says:

    Hello,

Please note that most of these sites aren’t available for Canadian businesses. You might want to add that fact. And Bing is HELL to register for…Worked over an hour and still can’t get them to accept either one of my e-mail addresses. And, of course, no person to speak to!!
