How do I...
Test an Email
It's always a good idea to test an email before you send it out. Tests help you ensure your message looks good in an email browser, and also give co-workers or associates the chance to look over the message before launch. You have two options when sending out a test:
- You can just send the test to yourself (such a test will go to the username on your account).
- You can send the test to a seed list of multiple addresses. This is a great way to let other people take a look at your email before you launch it to your list, or to take a look at your email in a number of different email browsers like Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook, etc.
The only differences between a test and a live email is that we alter the subject line to make clear the email is a test, and we send out both the HTML and text backup versions of the message so you can look over both.
