Edit an Image

Whether you uploaded an image or chose it from our Stock Photo Gallery, you can use our editing tools to make changes. How can you edit an image?

1. Scroll over the image you want to edit.
2. Click the pencil icon - this will take you to the editing sub-menu.
3. Now you can resize, crop, flip or rotate the image. When you're happy with the changes, you can either save the image as new or save over the current one.
4. When resizing, it's a good idea to keep the Constrain Proportions box checked to ensure the image doesn't end up looking stretched or squashed.
5. The easiest way to crop is to click on the picture and adjust the dimenstion of the green "crop box" that will then appear.

When you save an edited image, we optimize it for web use. What this means is that we make the file size as small as possible without altering the quality or dimensions of the image. We do this because smaller file sizes load faster for recipients.
