VerticalResponse Events users can now provide additional payment options for ticket buyers. In addition to credit cards, you now have the option to accept check payments for events.
When the Check by Mail option is enabled, ticket buyers will be able to choose to pay by credit card or by sending a check. Non-profits can also offer the Check by Mail option for donations. Those who chose the check option will have a special receipt emailed to them with the address to send the check to, plus once you’ve received and processed the check , they can get an optional second email letting them know.
The default setting is for credit cards only, if you want to accept check payments, you can set it up in a couple of quick steps. If not, no action is needed and the option won’t show up for attendees. This payment option is set per event, so you can pick and choose which events have this selection, if at all. The image below shows how to get started – Just click Receipt Setup from the Event Dashboard and select the Check by Mail option. For more details on how to set this up, check out our help site!
