Small Business Tax Day Survey – Are You Getting a Refund This Year?
Today many small businesses around the country are busier than ever—as April 15 is here! For those of you interested in how other VerticalResponse small business customers are faring this tax season, we wanted to share the results of our quick Tax Day Survey. Check out some of the interesting findings below.
QUESTION: Do you expect a refund on your taxes this year?
Almost half—45.8 percent—said they don’t expect a refund this year. Hopefully your small business is not in the same boat!
QUESTION: When thinking about your business or the company where you work, will you use tax season as a reason to offer special promotions or sales?
It was surprising to note that almost 60% of respondents won’t do any Tax Day promotions or offers to their customers. One of the freeform responses from customers even said, “No, we won’t do any offers for Tax Day. I had never considered this until your question prompted the thought!”
Don’t forget the beauty of email is that you can use almost any holiday or occasion as the theme for your communications to customers!
QUESTION: If you’re expecting a refund, what will you spend your refund on?
When thinking about what they will spend their refund on, almost 30% said bills, and a lucky 22% of customers are planning to spend it on a vacation! Hopefully you fall into this category too.
The Bottom Line?
We set up our Tax Day survey in just minutes using the VerticalResponse survey tool. This is a quick and easy way to tap into what your customers are thinking, and use the feedback for important things like what your customers think of your current promotions and your competitors—or you can do a fun survey like we did!
